I have just tendered from my first and current job a few days ago and I will be moving on to a new job in another company in a few weeks’ time.
Since my new company will be much further than the current one, Cat and I will have to make adjustments to our routines, such as the timing and responsibilities for the bringing and fetching of Darius to and from his CC. However, since I do not know how much heavier my workload there will be compared to my current job, the impact on my quality time with Cat and Darius is still unknown.
This has been quite a difficult decision for me since I’ve been in my current company for more than a decade (time really flies!) and it’s never easy to leave one’s comfort zone, especially when my current workplace and colleagues have been with me over a large part of my life.
Nevertheless, in order to broaden my exposure, I know that this move is necessary. In fact, I’ve been planning for a job change since quite a while back so this has actually not come too much of a surprise to us.
Also on the bright side, this will mean that I’ve managed to fulfill one of my Year 2012 resolutions, which is a big accomplishment by itself, since I usually don’t get to fulfill most of them over the past few years. :p
Now I’m just hoping that my transition into the new workplace will be smooth and I won’t be regretting my decision in the months ahead. I also wish I will remain strong when saying my good-byes to the many people that I have known there. ^^|

Congratulations on your new job! Hope your new job is everything you dreamed it could be.
Thank you!
I try not to set too high an expectation though, so that I won’t get too disappointed if things do not turn out well.
