He has been trying to speak more chinese words lately. Usually imitating after us and sometimes from the chinese songs he learnt in school. He had been saying ‘Me’ and tapping his hands on his chest.
Only lately, he finally started saying “我” though I had been teaching him to say this for a long time in a sentence, “我要。。。” for anything he wants instead of whining for it.
Still can’t say “要” though.
He has also been sprouting words such as “前前”,“后后” and doing the accompanying actions with his hands. (e.g. putting his hands behind his back).
He knows how to do the action and is able to say “洗手”. But it sounds very funny with an accent.
He is able to say “衣服” though not as clear, sometimes just “yi”, sometimes “fu”.
When I pointed to a picture of my mom and told him this is “外婆” and asked him after that, “Who is this?” He responded with “外ppp” after me. First time, he said, “Wai”.
He can point to 眼睛, 耳朵 when we sing the song, “两只老虎”.

English Words:
He is now saying “Milk” for his milk. He only used to say “Nai nai”.
He can say “Button” (not clear- bah.tt),”Shirt“, “Pants” (panz), “Diaper” as “paper”. All these were said while taking off his clothing one by one before bathing.
Finally heard him followed me and uttered “pee pee” but did not want to say it a second time.
He is able to say “shoes” now.
He is able to hold onto a book and tell me it is a “book” clearly.
He is able to say some wild animal names. “Elephant” – “eh..fant“, “Giraffe – raffe”
He can now say the “c”,”d”, “g” ,”i” sound after viewing a new Youtube video. Surprisingly, I had been trying to teach him the phonics sound of g,j,i,k through the videos we watched or reading for months but he never seemed to get it. Just after watching this particular one. ( Alphabet Sounds) for two to three times, he started saying the lyrics when we were not watching and could pronounced these sounds. We really love this video and song. I would sing it to him even when we are not watching and he would say,
“Apple, a a a”, “Baby b b b”, “C c c”, “g g g”, “Igloo, Igloo, i i i”. (the alphabets in phonemic sounds)
He refers to his Papa as “Daddy” and would point to somewhere far. But he does not want to call him Daddy when he’s right in front of him. As for me, he has started saying “Ma..mum” instead of “mama”=.=” sounds like ‘eating’ in baby talk.
