At 22 months old,

He loves:
1. Buses. Grabbed hold of a toy bus in his cousin’s house and wouldn’t let go. So it became his. He keeps uttering bus and car all the time when we are waiting at the bus-stop. Would turn the wheels on a toy bus by turning it upside-down for a long time.
2. To Run. Resulted in many falls for the past one month, scratched his kneecaps badly and bruised his forehead twice.
3. To Watch Dr Seuss’ stories on Youtube. Would follow and pronounced certain words in the stories as they are played.

He is watching these on YouTube daily:
1. Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss
2. Great Day for Up by Dr. Seuss
3. In a People’s House by (Theo. LeSieg) Dr. Seuss
4. The Hooked on Phonics TV series.

He has learnt to read and pronounced (though not accurately):
1. Numbers 1-20 in numerals (not words yet)
2. Texts such as, ‘bus’, ‘car’, ‘ball’, ‘dog’, ‘school’, ‘大’.
3. Also discovered he knew texts such as ‘nose’, ‘tiger’, ‘mouth’, ‘head’, ‘ear’, while flashing the word cards to him just a few days ago.

His favourite books at the moment:
1. ‘My World’ – Margaret Wise Brown
2. ‘I’ll Teach My Dog 100 Words’ – Michael K. Frith

Activities he did for the past month:
1. He started putting things by himself into the right places.
2. He is learning to take off his shoes and socks and is able to take off his socks after a little help initially.
3. He took initiative to self-feed.
4. He went to Polliwogs twice after we won an unlimited pass for a month.
5. He learnt to slide down by himself.
6. He got a new ABC floor puzzle as a new toy and loves it.
7. He went to The Helix and Marina Bay Sands for the first time.

For development:
- He still does not know how to speak in sentences we can understand but jabbers and babbles all the time.
- He voices some words after us but not constantly and does not know how to use them to express himself or in sentences.
Words he can say but not in context: “No”, “Yes”, “See”, “Sit”.
Words he knew and can use: “Water”, “Up”, “Sun”
Words he understand but does not know how to say in proper: “Head”, “Jump”, “Turn”, “Grass”, “草”, “fish”, “chair”, “bed”
