Our Little Helper!

Darius has always been very curious with the front-opening washing machine (which kid doesn’t?), loving to open and close the door when we forgot to lock it. He would also watch attentively when the clothes are spinning inside the machine.

So one day on the 26th of August (see ‘Darius’ Snippets #1), Catherine got the idea to let him help us load the clothes into the washing machine to be spun dry. He was 13months old then and only knew to put the clothes around the outer part of the barrel instead of inside needing us to help him push it in fully.

Whenever we are doing this task, he will come walking and stand right in front of the washing machine to ‘help’. Sometimes, he was unable to place some of the bigger pieces of clothings entirely into the machine, resulting in some parts of them dangling outside and he just left it as it is while we helped him tidy up.

Just recently, he became conscious of the ‘untidiness’ and will take a step further by lifting the parts that were sticking out and put them inside the machine nicely instead:

Next up on Darius’ to-do list —- Vacuuming the floor, wiping the windows and sweeping the floor! Nah, just kidding! ^^|
