Catherine and I were doing our own things with Darius playing with his toys on the Pooh playmat. A while later, we noticed he was moving around on the mat and shifting his toys.
Only when we started to take a closer look at him, we then realised what he was doing:
Both of us were surprised that Darius took the initiative for the first time to keep his toys into the toy box all by himself! Although we have been practising this with him before he goes to sleep at times, we had not expected him to take the initiative to do so this soon. ^^
Hopefully this marks the start of his routine to keep his toys by himself at the end of every day?
Anyway, have you noticed that he made it a point not to keep that last piece of toy on the mat? He probably realised that if he had kept everything, he would be left with nothing to play anymore. ^^|

Cool!!!
I started training my boys to keep their toys the very moment they had them!! *giggle*
Let him ‘keep’ this habit as young as he is now, the rewards go a looooooooooong way!
Well done Mommy!
wow.. Dairus is good boy! not like matt he love to mess up the things!!! but I remember when he was young that time around 15mths plus he also love to keep the toys after playing but now he grow up.. he is not.. then hor.. we keep toys, he go to throw out all the toys.. :S
wow, Angeline, you are super. I don’t always make him keep his toys, sometimes I forget to tell him. So this came as a surprise to us when he took the initiative.
What I do daily is get him to pick up things he threw onto the floor, and put it back into the rightful place. I will make him bend down to pick it up and hold it til he reach the place. Like, balls into the ballpit, books into the bookshelf. So maybe he got the idea somehow.
Ha, Margaret, I was really impressed when I read abt Matthias keeping his toys. So I wanted Darius to be like him. So it’s just a passing phase? Hope Darius will continue to do this.
WOW … Good job Darius.
Know what Dreamycat Achu also started doing this from some 2 weeks ago … sometimes it really reminds to be proper and organize our things
