A Day At Plaza Singapura

On Saturday, we specially made a trip to Plaza Singapura to get my scrapbooking supplies. Since I’m getting back into scrapbooking, I need the special glue and not knowing where else to get it, I had to go back to ‘Made With Love’ shop and also Spotlight which has many craft supplies.

The shop was small so Darius couldn’t go in with the stroller and Vincent had to wait outside with him. I came for the glue but ended up with….lots of alpha stickers, some papers, decorating items…Took my own sweet time browsing through cos I thought he was walking around. *oops…sorry.

Finally, Darius could take a walk around the newly renovated Spotlight. He was frustrated at being cooped up in the stroller. The store seemed to have become smaller and I took some time to find the scrapbooking supplies because the location of the items had changed. There weren’t many choices but I still ended up with more papers and even a stamp set! Scrapbooking supplies isn’t cheap.

We went to eat dinner at the foodcourt and fed Darius. He played with a straw and was quite obedient while we ate our dinner. Then, he started poking the fruit I was feeding him.

So we came back with tons of scrapbooking stuff when all I wanted initially was to get some papers and glue! I realised I always buy in bulk because each city trip is so rare for us due to us living in the North of Singapore and having no transport of our own. We buy things like there’s no tomorrow :P …So I think it will be sometime before I had to go back again. I’m satisfied with my stash for the time-being.

For info, I find that the prices for stuff in Made With Love are steeper compared to Spotlight. But they have much bigger variety and prettier items, plus a membership card which when accumulated can be exchange for classes. Now there’s also a draw of coupons with each $30 purchase and I drew off 20% coupons which can be used in my next purchase valid til the end of the month only. Hmm… this reminds me…should I go back again? ha.

Poor Hubby waited and waited for me to fulfil my shopping fantasy though. I go crazy when I see arty stuff. Luckily, there’s a chair and table in Spotlight. ^_^”
