Darius’ New Laughs

The word ’new’ used in this context refers to Darius’ new method of laughing, which was first started off on Thursday evening.

Instead of laughing in short bursts like he usually did, Darius started laughing in long streaks and in a rather cartoonish tone. It’s hard to describe that in words given my limited vocabulary so this video below would probably do a much better job:

This was taken while Catherine was in the study doing her work when Darius, who was in the living room, walked towards the room in search for her. When he reached the door to the study, he started giggling and would quickly turn around, laughing in his new-found way. He would keep walking in circles while he continued playing his own version of peek-a-boo with Catherine. As can be seen in the video above, Darius surely was getting a lot of joy out of it. ^^

We couldn’t help but laugh along with him, though we knew we had to stop him from laughing after a while. Otherwise, he might get too excited to fall asleep peacefully later. Alas, we were still too late as he woke up in the early hours in the morning, opening his eyes wide and refusing to get back to sleep. We were also worried his throat might become sore after laughing excessively but so far he is okay.
