Yesterday, after visiting the libraries at Sembawang and Yishun to borrow some recommended books for Darius, we ended up at Sembawang Shopping Centre.
The last time we went there, it was three weeks ago with the purpose of letting Darius get some fun from its splash park (see Darius Finally Getting Wet at SSC!). This time round, our objective is no different. ^^
We have initially planned to bring him there once every week, but we couldn’t do so the last two weeks due to other committments. We had also wanted to bring him for swimming but looks like we won’t be able to bring him there during this Chinese Seventh Month (aka Ghost Month).
Anyway, Darius enjoyed himself at the splash park too this time, though it may not be obvious from his expression. He even wanted to go back into the water play area when we were bringing him to the bathing area. ^^|
Like the previous time, he spent most of his time circling around the water fountain, where water was splashing upwards from the ground. He would try to grab the water with his hands, and missing which, would end up having water splashing onto his face. He kept repeating the same cycle but seemed to enjoy the process, though he would quickly try to wipe the water away from his face and eyes after getting wet:
In addition, he had also started venturing into another area with some water splashing from above. He would go through the ‘waterfall’, turn around, and walk through it again repeatedly.
We are glad he’s having fun at the splash park, instead of fearing water being splashed onto him. This probably also has to do with us bathing him using a shower head directly onto him while he was standing instead of sitting in his bathtub. He would no longer fuss unlike his first few times, and would even smile at us from time to time during his bath.
