Darius started showing signs of drinking liquids from straws since last Thursday (see Drinking from Straw) but he had this bad habit of biting the straw for a while first before he would drink from it.
However, over the weekend, he suddenly kicked his bad habit and would immediately drink from straws that were presented to him. We have no idea what had prompted the change but were glad he was finally learning to use a straw properly.
On Sunday, after he had woken up from a nap after his birthday party, I brought him downstairs to get some fresh air.
I had brought along this packet of chrysanthemum drink for my own consumption, among other things. While resting on a bench with Darius cruising/walking beside me, he picked up the opened packet drink and started drinking from it before I could stop him!
He wasn’t supposed to drink it (maybe a little is still… okay? ^^|) due to its sugary content (though it’s the ‘Not So Sweet’ version) so I quickly took it away from him after he took a few sips.
However, he kept coming back for the packet and I had fun playing this ‘hide-and-seek’ game with him. I also took the opportunity to capture some shots of him with the drink (and inevitably letting him sip a little more ^^|):

Hahaha those photos are so cute. He must be real quick that you couldn’t stop him from drinking.
Hehe it’s more of me expecting him to just bite the straw (which he usually does before this time) and not drinking immediately from it~ ^^|
