Guess this is the price for Darius’ newfound walking abilities. ^^|
This morning, while he was walking/cruising along the windows in our living room, he slipped and hit his forehead and nose onto one of the windows panes which ended up with a loud bang. His forehead and nose turned reddish with a cut between his eyes.
Fortunately it wasn’t something very serious, and he stopped crying and forgot about his injuries after a while. Sadly, his face will be ‘disfigured’ for now though.
Yesterday, we bought a pair of squeaky shoes from OG Orchard. We had previously wanted to buy a pair of Pediped shoes for him, but discovered that the soles appeared to be easily worn off, unlike what we had expected. We put the shoes into practical use today by letting him walk during parts of the journey between our home and the nearest MRT station.
Here’s a video clip of him walking in a void deck. Notice how Darius reacted to my ‘Slow Down’ signals:
The shoes squeaked louder than we had expected, though it’s probably due to the echo caused at the void deck. ^^|

oh poor Darius, luckily it wasn’t serious.
the squeaky is really loud hahaha. I wonder if the squeak sound make it more fun for Darius to walk.
We were glad it wasn’t serious and his cut is healing quickly; makes me wonder if children heals faster than us adults since their bruises often come and go quickly.
With Darius’ strong enthusiasm for walking, he would feel fun already even without the squeaking~ ^^|
