We brought Darius down to Marina Square on Sunday, wanting to spend our day in town instead of staying at home or at our neighbourhood, for a breath of fresh air.

When we were there, we were surprised that the place wasn’t as crowded as we have expected. We later concluded that it could be due to the recent Influenza A (H1N1) news, where our neighbouring countries like Malaysia and Japan have new confirmed cases of infection, while rumours of our government wanting to release the virus in Singapore to boost our citizens’ immune systems are spreading around.

Anyway, the trip was rather fruitful though quite tiring (we tend to get tired easier nowadays after having Darius; I wonder why? ^^|).

We bought two pairs of footwear for Darius from FOX Kids — a pair of sandals and a nice pair of sports shoes.

Time to plan for a beach trip! ^^

We thought of getting a pair of sandals for Darius as it would come handy (or well, ‘feety’) when we bring him downstairs for short casual walks (no socks needed!) and also when we are at the beach (erm… trip is still in the planning phase).

As for the sports shoes, we liked it a lot too, and we did try putting them onto Darius’ feet while in the shoe to make sure he could walk well in them. Unfortunately, I was too careless to have forgotten to check if there was sufficient space between his toes and the tip of the shoes. It turned out that the shoe was too small for Darius as he has to bend his toes a little when wearing it! -_-|

We tried to exchange for another pair when we returned to FOX, but as the price tag had already been cut, they did not allow us to make an exchange.

As good as new...

So here we are, with a nice pair of shoes staring at us, wanting to be of use but we can’t put Darius’ toes at risk. So for you readers, we are willing to let go of this as-good-as-new pair of shoes at only S$10.00 (we bought at a discounted price of S$15.20; usual price S$19.00) so that it will not go to waste. The sole is soft and made especially for pre-walkers.
