We went for a late afternoon outing yesterday because Darius and I have not stepped out of the house since Tuesday. Was busy with doing my freelance work and cooking in the evenings.
So we headed to AMK hub for a late lunch, then walked around a little before going towards the city. Since we wanted some objective, I decided to check out a new graphics software, Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.

Had to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle' to get him to focus on his feeding
We ended up in MOS Burger eating and feeding Darius instead and by the time we reached Funan Centre, it was almost 8 and most shops were closed or not even opened due to the public holiday. Oops.
Luckily, we still managed to find a particular shop and just bought the software quickly before it closed 20mins later. Had fun playing with it yesterday and today. It’s really much better than the version (2.0) I’m using now.
We then ventured out to the Singapore River with Darius, hoping to stay out late a little since he took a little nap. We often rushed back when it’s near his bedtime at 9pm but we decided to throw ‘routine’ away for a while.

This is original from camera, not photoshopped. ^^
As we walked around the river admiring the night scene and took some photos, we found ‘The Central’ shopping mall. I had heard about it but never thought of coming here because it’s so far away for us.
Alas, it was really late. We admired the nice structures, unique seats and went up to look at the shops even though many of them were closed.
We found a baby shop selling famous brands at low prices. But again, most of the clothes were still ‘female’. It’s really difficult to get nice clothes for Darius where the text prints aren’t boring (like ‘surfing’, ‘some american university’, ‘baseball’, ‘love my daddy’), coupled with only blue-green, grey-blue, blue-red, blah blah. I want yellow, red, orange, white t-shirts, for him! NOT dark-blue.
We were pleased to find two nice Carters bibs for him selling at offer 2 for $10. GOOD buy since the one I bought in Kiddy Palace by max-kool was already $7.90.
During this while, he was still awake but after we bought the bibs, he was really getting tired so we headed home. Will be back to check out the mall fully another time.
He fell asleep on the long ride and we had to coax him to sleep again after that.
It wasn’t very good to break the routine because he took a long time to sleep and woke up several times crying. I guess babies do need to sleep at the right time every night after all with no power naps in between.
No more late nights-out for us I think.

Is the baby clothes with american university and sport prints US brands? Baby boy clothes are boring but the good thing is you won’t spend much on clothing since they all look almost the same.
I like Darius in white-red and white-yellow, he looks really good. The new bib is cute.
Yes. Mostly Carter’s or Gap(I think). When they are in discounts sold over here, most are usually either ‘off-season’ or not as nice prints, not as nice colours. If they are nice ones (pastel colours, cute prints), they will be very expensive.
I mostly buy Fox baby‘s clothing (an Israel-based company) for Darius and their prints are sometimes a little boring. They do have variety of colours but boring or simple prints won’t make me fork out more money to buy them. So I usually only get more when there’s discounts on more. Recently, they have cartoon prints so I bought a few spring summer clothing for him but they are still a bit large.
I also dislike certain sentences on a baby clothing e.g., “Will work for milk”.
Mothercare clothing are my fav too because they know how to coordinate colours, they are mostly without prints, plain yet expensive.
Thanks. I like to dress him in red and yellow, instead of blue. My secondary choices are light green, white and brown. I always tend to look out for neutral colours when buying so maybe can pass on…hee.
