Darius has still been babbling on and off, but his verbal time has reduced quite significantly as compared to when he was younger, when he would be babbling excitedly all day.
We had continually been talking and interacting with him to get him to speak more, but those attempts were not very successful. Even when he did babble, more often than not he would be doing it when we were out of sight.
While we were thinking of what else we could do to stimulate him, Darius started to babble a lot more again starting from this Monday.
Reason? My mother-in-law.
On Sunday evening when we visited her, she was playing and interacting with Darius, using many expressions, gestures and baby talk, which got Darius very excited and interested.
He then started to babble non-stop at her and Catherine with an amount of speech I’ve never seen him done before, even in his younger days.
From that night onwards, Darius has regained his interests in engaging in verbal communication with us via his own language.

Omg, he is so cute. he seemed so happy blabbering. I love when baby started to talk, it is like a challenge to catch what the baby said.
Hi Brownie,
Haven’t seen you here for a while already. Been busy? ^^|
Ya I enjoy seeing Darius blabbering too, though like you say, I’m still having difficulty trying to find out what he is trying to express.
He is just trying to talk.
He should be making his first vowel very soon..
Hi Sunflower,
Yar we are waiting for him to discover new vowels too. Hopefully he will be coming out with ‘Pa’ and ‘Ma’. ^^
