Darius had not enjoyed being on his stomach since he was born, so we had expected it might be difficult to get him to learn crawling. In fact, since he is especially interested to stand and walk around assisted, we are expecting him skip the crawling stage altogether and proceed to his standing/walking phase. ^^|
Still, we will provide ample opportunities for him to lie down on his stomach. Whenever he is in this position, he will push his upper body up with his arms and start to look around in a big-eyed, innocent look. After a while, he will become restless and will start to make some noises to indicate his unhappiness. He will also ‘kiss’ the floor/mat repeatedly a few seconds each time when he’s tired, before bringing his head up again.
As for movements, though he had been trying to use his legs to push himself forward, he has yet been successful in his attempts. As a result, his hands are still doing most of the work and he ends up moving backwards instead. ^^|
Before his leg muscles are strong enough to support himself, we will still hope to see him master the skills of crawling since it should be an enjoyable sight seeing him moving around by himself (though more work to ensure his safety).

Soon he will be able to pull himself up to sitting position.
Hi Sunflower,
Before that though, I hope he will be able to start crawling forward… ^^|
