Darius has always been smiling a lot since 4 months old and at 5 months, I still have to say ‘smile’ before he’ll give me a smile. After 6.5months old however, we just have to talk to him or smile at him and he’ll give the widest smileĀ or laugh back with his face all crinkled, showing his gum. Pointing the camera at him will also make him smile. Taking pictures is a breeze now.
For laughter, IĀ just have to laugh at him to get him to laugh back effortlessly. He also laughs whenever I go ‘ke ke ke’ like a coughing sound. Strangely, he found that very funny.

He also gives smiles to strangers who smiles at him, making them very happy and saying that he isn’t afraid of strangers.
He only allows certain people to carry him though. Like young ladies, mothers and his uncle. He doesn’t like old men (aka my dad and Vincent’s dad). Is is because they have more wrinkles and he can’t decipher their smiles???
Below is a video showing him laughing when I laugh. It’s really infectious and always make both of us laugh more and more. Before we had Darius, Hubby seldom laughs even at something funny but now with Darius, he’s laughing everyday. XD

He must be one happy and contented baby!
Yvette laugh alot too.
And hor.. how come all babies laughing sound is alike… I clicked on the video.. I thot I heard Yvette is laughing..
Yar, I think the way most babies cry and laugh sounds the same. Sometimes, I thought I heard Darius cry, rush to the room, but he’s still asleep. Realised that it’s from another baby somewhere.
Some babies have very deep voices though like having a sorethroat. And they laugh very roughly, seemed a bit strange.
