I’ve been on compulsory leave for the entire CNY week and it has been a wonderful opportunity for me to spend quality and quantity time with Catherine and Darius.
So what have we been doing over the past week then? What better way to show it than with photos right? ^^
Lately, Darius has been very keen in flipping and lying on his sides when we were putting him to sleep. In fact, it’s now difficult for him to fall asleep when lying on his back. He seems to sleep deeper and more comfortable on his side but he could be woken up whenever he lost his ‘balance’ and fell backwards onto his back.
When awake, he’s also very interested in flipping from his back to the tummy-down position. Although he seems to like being in this position, he is still struggling to creep or crawl forward. Instead, he has only managed to either moving backwards or rotating his body around on the same spot.
Darius has also started to smile and laugh a lot more than before. Simply grin or laugh at him, and he will almost certainly return us with a beautiful, joyous expression.
His loose stools problem has improved after taking the medication from the doctor (see Darius’ Golden New Year), and Catherine decided to resume his solid food routine, starting with porridge. We can’t say he really enjoys eating and swallowing them yet, but we are on the first steps towards his next feeding stage.
Since Darius has been enjoying walking with our assistance (see Darius’ First Little Steps and Things Darius Do at 6 Months), we decided to let him start wearing shoes when we brought him downstairs for a stroll two days back. However, we realised he’s finding it more difficult to walk with his shoes as he needs time getting used to the new sensation.
Meanwhile, Darius is finding comfort in his stroller too, after we bought a comforter to replace the original cushion of the stroller.
Last but not least, here’s a photo that doesn’t show Darius nor us, but gave us a warm feeling when we spotted this scene:

Hehe thanks. Yar I think it’s a very special feeling to watch our children sleeping; they give kind of a peaceful look on their faces. ^^
Love all the pics…. I’m missing those moments when my boys are little !! I can only recap those moments through their photos now. Take more pic of Darius, he will grow up in a jiff
:)
Hi Janice,
Indeed, time certainly flies for me as nearly 7 months have passed since Darius came to this world, and soon it will be his 1st birthday. I’m glad to be still enjoying every moment with him as he grows up. ^^
