Today, we bought Darius a big toy at a bargain price!

It’s such a bargain that the amount we spent on this item is even lesser than on this Vtech Shake Shake Apple hand-held toy we bought a few days back (we bought this apple toy at a 20% discount somemore):

Lovely little toy with voice and music

What kind of ’big toy’ can we still buy at this price nowadays, you may ask?

The photo below will reveal the answer:

Exersaucer at the price of an 'apple'?

Nope, there is no typo mistake nor have I posted a wrong photo (nor have I grown senile ^^|) - we have indeed bought this Safety 1st Bouncing Baby Place exersaucer at an unbelieveable price!

For those who have followed our blog would have found this exersaucer familiar. Yes, it’s the same one we have rented one month ago (see More New Toys for Darius! and One Week with the Exersaucer).

How the deal went through started off like this: With the one-month deadline up for the rental, the rental company informed us that they will be dropping by our house today to collect back the exersaucer and the ocean gym. However, he also asked if we would like to purchase the exersaucer at a very low price.

Catherine and I were surprised at his suggestion, as we were already contemplating whether to rent the exersaucer for another month since Darius was still enjoying himself in there, and will move himself to rotate between the ten toys on the exersaucer. We were also pleasantly surprised by his offer price, since the retail price for such an exersaucer would easily exceed a hundred dollars.

Of course the condition of the exersaucer is not of mint condition, but we can’t expect too much from a second-hand (or rather, many ‘hands’) item and at this bargain price right? So without much consideration, we agreed to his deal.

The rental person later explained that he already had too many of this exersaucer in store, and so was considering selling away the surplus. He seems to be interested in selling other items in his shop too, but since we have nothing we really need at the moment, I told him we might contact him again if we need anything else in the future.

And so we have it, another ‘new’ toy for Darius that we own! Even if he is to grow bored of it, we can convert it into a car track (that’s a bonus feature of this exersaucer). Even after that, who knows, we may still be able to use it for our No. 2 (or more), if any, in the future. ^^|

Right now, I have to get back to my thorough cleaning of his new toy! (was too lazy to clean it during the rental period)
