Celebrated my 29th Birthday today! One more year to go before the big 3-O.

Hubby surprised me with a Precious Moment Figurine, ‘A Mother’s Love Grows By Giving‘. According to him, it was the last piece and he was lucky to get it. I had always wanted a precious moment and this was really appropriate for me, symbolising me and Darius. The ‘child’ happened to be a boy too.

The words

‘There is no bond deeper or more meaningful than that of Mother and Child, and that bond grows and flourishes through the course of a life, with each reassuring embrace. With a loving touch, a gentle nudge or a wise word, a mother instinctively leads her child to a better place. And as her child grows, so does the love she gives and receives.

Went over to my parent’s house to celebrate with a cake. As usual, she cooked mee sua for us and the birthday person get to eat two eggs. ^_~

We specially ordered a cake from Pine Garden with the flavour of lychee martini. This is the first time we all tasted it. The lychee icing was pink and pretty and there were lychee bits inside the cake too. Didn’t quite get any alcohol taste though but just a spicy feeling. Overall, everyone enjoyed it.

Last year today, I was 28 and Darius was just a tiny pea in my tummy at about 7 weeks old. Now he’s almost 5 months old! He was cheery today and laughed for the first time at my mother’s antics. Everyone was really happy and laughing a lot at his cute actions. The ambience was really good.

For me, at 29, I’m glad to have healthy parents, a caring and loving hubby and a wonderful, lovable and healthy child who always makes me smile and laugh. I’m really contented with what I have now.
