A short update to  Similac Infant: Change in Quality? and Updates on Our Tin of Similac Infant:

Since we disposed the suspicious tin and introduced Darius to the subsequent tins we bought, there had been no problem of him getting cranky and consistently vomitting out the milk.

In fact, the latest tin we bought, which was dated 16th May 2008 as the manufactured date, looked different from the 30th April 2008 batch. This time round, the milk powder is very fine and powdery, similac to the older batch of Similac Infant powder we bought previously.

The fine powder makes sifting extra powder off the scoop much easier, and also when pouring the pre-measured powder from another container into the milk bottle.

However, the new milk powder does not dissolve as well and more stirring needs to be done to ensure the powder are properly dissolved in the warm water.
