Tomorrow we will be returning to the birth place of Darius – Thomson Medical Centre for the first time since Cat was discharged from the hospital on 24th July 2008.
We will be back there for Cat’s Glucose Tolerance Test, as recommended by Dr Adelina Wong, to ensure that her Impaired Glucose Tolerance during pregnancy (see Glucose Tolerance test) has been cleared off completely after delivery.
It is a tedious test as Cat needs to start fasting from midnight, reach the hospital early in the morning by 8.30am, undergo two blood tests followed by a consultation (hopefully a final one) by Dr Adelina.
Unlike the last test, we will have to make preparations for Darius too since he will be with us throughout the entire trip. Hopefully he will be behaving well (since he might be able to remember his birth place after staying there for the first nine days of his life) so we can go through the tests smoothly.
Also thought of visiting the nurses at the Level 6 Wards, who have taken good care of Cat and Darius (actually, and also me at times) during our stay, but I’m feeling a bit awkward since they might not even remember us, given that there are so many patients in and out the wards everyday.
