Some of Darius’ Firsts

Upon reaching home from the hospital, we feel so unfamiliar with our own house, especially for Cat, who had left our home since 9 days ago. It really seemed like a long dream…

Anyway, it’s also Darius’ first visit to our house — we kinda pity him though; most babies would have returned to their cosy homes after a short two to three days after birth, but ours had to wait so long before he could be where he truly belongs.

So obviously there are many things to get used to, since nursing a baby at home and at the hospital would be of a very different experience altogether. There’s no longer any ‘backup’ nurses or nursery to fall back to, nor are the essentials (e.g. milk) conveniently accessible.

We had quite a messy day and along the way, Darius gets to experience some of his firsts:
