Yes, Cat and I have been in Thomson Medical Centre since last Tuesday, and Darius has healthily be with us for a week already.
Today, Cat’s condition has improved slightly, and she could be more relaxed now. Darius can finally be close to mummy for a short while:
After feeding Darius with Similac formula milk (Cat can’t breastfeed as she’s on antibiotics), I placed him tummy down on my bed, so that he can slowly learn to support his own head and also move his limps a little to prepare himself for the next stage of his life – Creeping Stage.
He appears pretty comfortable in this position and had several chances to move his limbs in his half-asleep state.
During noon time, I went to pick Darius up from the hospital’s nursery after returning from home for a short trip to pick up some items, such as his clothings and neccessary lotions/cream. I realised he has been applied some cream on his eyes for the red rashes that appeared around his eyes.
According to what I know, he could be contracted with Erthema Toxicum (ET), a common harmless rash that affects up to 50% of all full-term infants. Usually they are not treated as it will go away by itself. Still, the nursery has taken initative to apply some cream to help clear the ET faster.
However, it seems that he has problems opening his eyes since he did not open them during the entire feeding session. Will consult the nursery later since he doesn’t seem to be suffering from any discomfort.
