From BabyCenter: Your baby’s growing steadily, gaining about a quarter of a pound since last week, when she was just over a pound. Since she’s almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), that makes a pretty lean figure, but her body is filling out proportionally and she’ll soon put on more baby fat. Your baby’s skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled, her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds are developing. Her lungs are developing “branches” of the respiratory “tree” and cells that produce surfactant, a substance **that helps the air sacs inflate easily. What seems different from last wk? Getting tired easily and walking takes some toil on my legs. It seemed that my legs didn’t grow enough to support my heavy body so they ached pretty often. I also get waist pains when I sit down for too long. So one cannot stand or sit for long either. hmm. For the past few days, I’ve also been sleeping early and waking up late due to tiredness. I need to wedge a small pillow underneath my stomach area to ease the backstrains when I lie on my sides. But it’s still difficult to sleep very comfortably as the hips still pained a little. I’ve also started experiencing some pelvic cramps especially after a meal outside while walking. Could it be some things I ate or drank which were not suitable? From babycenter, it seemed that we must take note of pre-term labour at this stage.

If you notice an increase in vaginal discharge that is watery, mucus-like, or pink or blood-tinged; any vaginal bleeding or spotting; abdominal pain or menstrual-like cramping or more than four contractions in an hour; an increase in pelvic pressure; or low back pain that you haven’t had before.

My gynae always says when I ask her about pains, ‘any pain which is not persistent for long should not be a concern’. So I guess, there’s nothing wrong with me. Had some constipation problems a few days before, yet had diarrhoea yesterday. weird. I developed a sorethroat all of a sudden on Thursday after the visit to the doctor and is now trying to nurse it by drinking lots of hot water. So far, it worked a bit. I did a search on the net but they say it’s not advisable to drink ‘pi pa gao’ which I always take when I have a sorethroat. So no choice, got to just heal myself. Another remedy is to drink hot water with honey and lemon. But I don’t have honey not lemon and don’t want to just buy a bottle for this. Hope I’ll get better soon.
