Recently, I read from a mother’s blog about chinese characters for names and became a believer that the strokes in the name does influence a person’s life. This is because I checked out the names of myself, family members and they all sound like what I’m reading. Most of it was quite true about the person’s character and life. I tested out the names we had more or less decided earlier and alas! they are not good at all. So I guess, we shall leave it to when baby comes out and let a learned person do the ‘counting’. Usually, they go by the chinese birthdate and year and thus decide which strokes will lead to a good life for the baby. We will be given a list of names to choose and combine.

My mother believes that and because of her influence, I believe too. In some stage of life if the person’s life is not good, some strokes need to be changed too.
My FIL said my my chinese name character doesn’t exist in dictionary and he wanted to change the character in ROM invitation. My mom was angry said the character came from a very old dictionary and counted by chinese birthdate etc
